Signature Resizer
Trim, whiten and resize a signature or thumb impression to the exact pixels and KB an online form needs — SSC, IBPS, UPSC, NEET or any custom size.
How to resize a signature for an online form
Photograph your signature on white paper and drop it in. FileQuick finds the ink, crops away the empty paper, turns grey paper and shadows pure white, and saves a JPG at the exact size and KB the form asks for.
Online forms are strict about signatures: a pixel size (like 140 × 60), a KB window (like 10–20 KB) and JPG only. A phone photo of a signature is usually several MB, mostly empty paper, with a shadow across it — shrinking that straight down leaves a tiny grey smudge in the middle of the box.
This tool fixes that in order: it locates the ink (ignoring specks of dust and the desk around the paper), trims to it with a small margin, flattens the paper to pure white while keeping blue ink blue, fits it into the target size without cropping any of it, and searches for the best JPEG quality under the maximum KB.
Too small is a problem too — many portals reject a signature under 10 KB, and a clean signature can compress to 3–4 KB. When that happens the file is topped up to the minimum with a harmless comment block inside the JPG; the picture is exactly the same.
The same steps work for a thumb impression (IBPS asks for 240 × 240 px, 20–50 KB) — choose "Thumb impression". With "Only a KB limit", the signature keeps its shape and is simply brought under the KB you choose: 10, 20, 50 or 100 KB.
Steps
- Sign with a black or blue pen on plain white paper and photograph it from directly above.
- Choose what it is for — SSC, IBPS / SBI, UPSC, RRB, NEET / JEE, a thumb impression, only a KB limit, or a custom size.
- Drop the photo in. The result updates instantly — check it says "Ready to upload".
- Download the JPG. Use Crop first if something else (a second signature, a stamp) is on the same paper.
Frequently asked questions
How do I resize my signature to 20 KB?
Pick your exam (most cap signatures at 20 KB) or "Only a KB limit" → Under 20 KB, then drop the photo in. The result is a JPG just under 20 KB.
How do I resize a signature to 10 KB?
Choose "Only a KB limit" and tap Under 10 KB. Signatures compress very well, so a clean 10 KB signature still looks sharp.
Why is my signature rejected for being too small?
Many forms set a minimum, often 10 KB. This tool tops the file up to that minimum without changing the image, so the portal accepts it.
Can I resize a scanned signature?
Yes — a scan works even better than a photo. The empty page around it is trimmed automatically.
Does it work for a thumb impression?
Yes. Choose "Thumb impression"; it is trimmed, whitened and sized to 240 × 240 px, 20–50 KB (the IBPS / SBI format).
Is my signature uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser; your signature never leaves your device.
