Plain resizing spreads the same pixels over a larger area, so an enlarged photo looks soft and blocky. An AI upscaler predicts what the extra detail should be — sharp edges, clean text, believable texture — so the result looks like it was shot at the higher resolution. It is the right tool for a small product photo you need to print, an old picture you want to enlarge, or a low-res graphic for a bigger screen.
Enhance keeps the photo at its own size but cleans it up: the same AI removes grain, blur and the blocky marks left by heavy JPEG compression, which is ideal for profile pictures, documents photographed on a phone, and images saved from chat apps.

Frequently asked questions
How is upscaling different from resizing?
Resizing spreads existing pixels over a bigger area and looks blurry. The upscaler predicts new detail, so edges and textures stay sharp.
What does Enhance do?
It keeps the size but runs the photo through the same AI, which removes noise, softness and JPEG blocks — a cleaner, sharper version of the same picture.
Can I increase image resolution for free?
Yes. There is no account, no credit limit and no watermark.
How large an image can I upscale?
Any size photo can go in. The result is capped at 36 megapixels (about 6000×6000), and very large photos are processed at up to 2 megapixels of detail so a job never takes more than about a minute.
Does it work on old or blurry photos?
It sharpens and adds plausible detail, which helps soft, noisy or compressed photos a lot. Severely damaged images have limits.
Is my photo kept?
No. It is processed on our server over a secure connection and deleted as soon as the result is downloaded (or within 30 minutes if you leave).
